Sports COMMISSIONER PAUL BASSEY FELICITATES INSPIRATION FM ON 10th ANNIVERSARY OF RADIO BROADCASTING

The Akwa Ibom State Sports Commissioner Elder Paul Bassey has congratulated Inspiration FM on the occasion of its 10th anniversary of broadcasting operations in the state.

Speaking during the station’s anniversary activities, Elder Bassey commended the management and staff of Inspiration FM, describing the station as one of the most professionally managed radio organizations in the state and a strong supporter of Sports broadcasting.

The Sports Commissioner gave the commendation on Friday during a novelty football match between the Inspiration FM team and the Ibom Entertainers at the NUJ Mini Stadium in Uyo. He attended the event as the Special Guest of Honour.

The match ended 2-2 in regulation time before Ibom Entertainers secured a 3-2 victory on penalties.

According to Elder Paul Bassey “I wish to congratulate the management and staff of Inspiration FM on their achievements in delivering quality broadcasting and setting the agenda for discussions within the media space in Akwa Ibom State over the past ten years, he said.

“Permit me to say that Inspiration FM is professionally managed and has consistently supported government activities, programmes and policies in the state while engaging the public with timely and objective information.”

According to him, the Ministry of Sports is proud to be associated with the station and will continue to partner with the brand in advancing the vision of the state government’s Arise Agenda, particularly in the area of Sports development.

Elder Bassey further congratulated the station on its milestone and encouraged its management and staff to uphold the ethics and standards of the broadcasting profession while continuing to inform, educate and entertain the public.
