Lagos residents in shock as woman repeatedly shouts ‘I am covered by the blood of Jesus’ at Orile Bus Stop

There was confusion at Orile Bus Stop in Lagos on after a yet-to-be-identified woman suddenly began behaving strangely and repeatedly shouting, “I am covered by the blood of Jesus.”

Media Today Nigeria gathered that the incident happened around when the woman, who appeared agitated, started speaking loudly to herself.

The sudden outburst drew a crowd of commuters and traders, many of whom stopped to watch while others expressed worry over her condition.

“She just started shouting the same words repeatedly. At first we thought she was preaching, but her behaviour was unusual. She looked distressed,” an eyewitness told our correspondent.

Another trader in the area said, “Nobody knew what was wrong with her. She was walking normally and then she started shouting. Some people got scared, others started praying for her.”

As of press time, the cause of the woman’s behaviour remained unknown and no family member or acquaintance had come forward to identify her.

The incident caused a brief disruption at the busy bus stop before activities returned to normal.

Efforts to reach officials of the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency and the police for comments proved abortive as of the time of filing this report.
