Nollywood actor Jim Iyke has opened up about how his lack of cooking skills affected his romantic relationships during his university days.

The actor shared the amusing experience while appearing on the Lahor Podcast, where he reflected on his lifestyle and relationships as a student.

Jim Iyke admitted that cooking was not one of his strengths at the time. He revealed that he sometimes entered romantic relationships partly because the women involved could prepare meals for him.

According to the actor, he would pursue different women, knowing they would eventually cook for him. However, once he had enjoyed the meals, he would call off the relationship.

He explained that the pattern went on for a while until his actions were eventually exposed.

Jim Iyke recalled that the incident damaged his reputation among the women in his department, as word quickly spread about what he had been doing.

Speaking humorously about the experience, the actor said it became so widely known that women in his department began avoiding him and stopped giving him opportunities to pursue relationships with them.

His words

“The only thing I don’t know how to do in this life is cooking. In university, I used to toast girls every week so they could cook for me. Once she finished cooking, I’d break up with her. The day I was caught, the whole department stopped giving me a chance.” 😂
