July 14, () — Grammy-winning Afrobeats star Burna Boy has extended his record as the Nigerian artist with the most certified singles in France after collaborating with Shakira, “Dai Dai,” earned a Gold certification in the country.
The latest certification brings Burna Boy’s total number of certified singles in France to 17, the highest total for a Nigerian artist in the market.
The certification was awarded by the National Syndicate of Phonographic Publishing (SNEP), France’s official music certification body, which recognises songs based on sales and streaming performance.
“Dai Dai,” which serves as the official anthem of the 2026 FIFA World Cup, has enjoyed major success since its release. The song recently reached No. 1 on the Billboard Global 200 chart, adding another achievement to Burna Boy’s career.
A Growing French Success Story
Burna Boy’s 17 certified singles in France include six Diamond certifications, four Platinum certifications, and seven Gold certifications.

His Diamond-certified songs include “Gbona,” “Last Last,” “On The Low,” “Jerusalema” with Master KG, “Be Honest” with Jorja Smith, and “Location” with Dave.
His Platinum-certified tracks include “Ye,” “City Boys,” “Donne-moi l’Accord” with Dadju, and “We Pray” with Coldplay.
Other Gold-certified tracks include “Dai Dai,” “For My Hand” with Ed Sheeran, “Anybody,” “Alone,” “Collateral Damage,” “It’s Plenty,” and “4 Kampé II.”

The achievement adds another record to Burna Boy’s career. The singer has built a strong following in France, where his music continues to perform well among audiences.
In April 2025, he became the first Nigerian artist to headline and sell out the 80,000-capacity Stade de France, one of France’s largest and most iconic stadiums, with his “Burna Boy Live at Stade de France” concert.
