The Labour Party candidate for Bende Federal Constituency, Dr. Chimaobi Anyaso, has fulfilled his ₦2 million cash pledge to the Women’s Wing of the Amaokwe Item Welfare Union, in addition to presenting 200 wrappers promised to the group.
The presentation was made at the OFUJI 2027 Campaign Office in Igbere, in fulfilment of commitments Dr. Anyaso made during the women’s 2026 August Meeting held last week.
Dr. Anyaso had pledged the financial support and wrappers as part of his contribution to the welfare and activities of the women.
Speaking during the presentation, he reaffirmed his commitment to supporting initiatives that promote the welfare, empowerment and development of women across the constituency.
He thanked the Amaokwe Item women for their confidence in him and for their assurance of support as he seeks to represent the people of Bende Federal Constituency in the 2027 general election.
The President-General of the Amaokwe Item Development Union Women’s Wing, Mrs. Mercy Uko, expressed gratitude to Dr. Anyaso for redeeming his pledge and identifying with the women during their August Meeting.
She commended the Labour Party candidate for keeping his word, describing the fulfilment of the pledge as a clear demonstration of his commitment to the welfare of women and the development of the community.
