Aba Power Assures Customers as Maintenance Work Temporarily Affects Electricity Supply
Aba Power has assured its customers that efforts are actively underway to restore normal electricity supply following a temporary disruption caused by ongoing maintenance at a key gas facility.
The temporary outage occurred after gas supply to Geometric Power Aba Limited (GPAL), the company’s primary power provider, was affected by maintenance activities at the Heirs Energies gas facility.
While the situation has resulted in a short-term interruption in power supply across parts of the Aba Power network, the development is understood to be temporary, with relevant stakeholders already working together to ensure the speedy restoration of gas supply and the return of normal electricity.
The situation reflects the ongoing coordination among critical players in the power value chain to maintain and restore reliable electricity services to customers.
Aba Power, in a notice issued on Tuesday, August 26, 2026, expressed appreciation to its customers for their patience and understanding, while reassuring them that every necessary effort is being made to bring the situation back to normal.
The management also apologised for any inconvenience caused, expressing confidence that the collaborative efforts to restore gas supply would soon pave the way for the resumption of normal power supply across its n
