Peller Alleges Sexual Abuse by Football Coach, Says It Ended His World Cup Dream

  • TikTok streamer Peller has alleged he was sexually abused by a football coach between the ages of 14 and 15, an experience he says ended his hopes of a professional football career.

  • According to Peller, the coach targeted him after fining players who arrived late for training, an excuse he says was used to isolate him.

  • Peller said the abuse pushed him away from football and toward content creation, where he built his early online following before teaming up with fellow creator Jarvis.

  • In the same interview, Peller explained why he wants to marry young, tying the decision to his parents’ separation and his own unstable upbringing.

July 21, () — TikTok streamer Habeeb Hamzat, popularly known as Peller, has alleged that a football coach sexually abused him as a teenager, an experience he says derailed a football career he believes could have taken him to the World Cup.

Peller made the disclosure on the July 20 episode of The Honest Bunch Podcast, saying the alleged abuse occurred when he was between 14 and 15 years old.

“I’m supposed to be your Osimhen now, you would be chanting my name ‘Peller, Peller. I’m supposed to be at the World Cup.” he said.

According to him, the team used to gather at an uncompleted building before heading to training, and players who arrived late were fined.

He said he could not always afford the fine, which allegedly made him a target.

“He would ask the other players to go to the field and tell me to stay behind,” Peller claimed.

Peller also recounted a separate incident in Agric, Ikorodu, where he said the coach invited him to his apartment under the pretext of running an errand.

He alleged that on arrival, the coach undressed and asked him to get onto the bed, an advance he refused.

He said the coach tried to convince him by promising more playing time.

Peller said he later told the coach he needed to urinate, and fled as soon as the door was unlocked, never returning.

Peller said the experience pushed him away from football entirely and led him toward live streaming, where he had only a handful of viewers before his collaborations with fellow creator Jarvis boosted his profile.

On the same podcast, Peller separately disclosed an earlier incident of abuse at age 12, which he said involved an older woman he met through a friend’s family.

Why Peller Wants To Marry Young

Peller also explained why he is choosing to marry at a young age, linking the decision to his own upbringing.

He said his parents were never formally married and simply lived together before separating while he was still a child, an experience that left him with an unstable upbringing.

He said he wants a different outcome for his own children and sees a legally and traditionally recognized marriage as the way to build that stability.

On commitment, Peller and Jarvis said they have taken an oath before God to remain faithful to each other.

“If you cheat, you die,” Jarvis said, describing it as the rule guiding their relationship.

Peller said he had proposed a blood covenant, an idea Jarvis turned down.

“The only blood covenant we have is with God,” Jarvis said, adding that their commitment did not need to be sealed in blood to hold.
