Ogun NDC Rejects Lokoja Federal Court Judgement, Reaffirms Commitment To 2027 Elections
June 28 () — The Ogun State chapter of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) has rejected the judgement delivered by the Federal High Court in Lokoja, describing the ruling as lacking legal basis and merit.
The party, in a statement, by its Chairman, Hon. Femi Alao, insisted that the judgement would not affect its participation in the 2027 general elections.
Alao stressed that all its candidates across Ogun State had duly completed and submitted their nomination forms.
According to him, the nomination documents are now set to be uploaded to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) nomination portal in line with the electoral timetable.
The chairman called on the party’s members, supporters, and the general public to disregard the judgment, expressing confidence that the ruling would not stand upon further legal review.

“The party strongly condemns the judgement delivered by the Federal High Court in Lokoja, describing it as lacking any legal basis or merit.
“The party confirms that all its candidates across the state have duly completed and submitted their nomination forms, which are now set to be uploaded to the INEC nomination portal.
“The party therefore urges its members, supporters, and the general public to disregard the judgement, expressing confidence that it will not stand upon further legal review”, he stated.
He, however, reaffirmed the party’s resolve, saying that it remains fully committed to contesting all elective positions in the 2027 general elections.
