He married my best friend – Akin Olaiya’s wife reveals cause of marital crisis [VIDEO]

Nafisat, wife of a Nigeria actor, Akin Olaiya, has revealed why she moved out of their matrimonial home.

MEDIA TODAY reports that Olaiya got married to Nafisat in July 2025, years after the crash of his first marriage.

Rumours of the couple’s separation surfaced online in less than five months after the ceremony.

Finally confirming the separation in a dissolution statement released on June 22 2026, the actor claimed that Nafisat moved out of their matrimonial home without any crisis and all efforts to bring her back proved abortive.

Reacting to the controversial statement in a video on social media, Nafisat who had earlier accused Olaiya of abusing her, however, revealed that she left the marriage following the actor’s love affair with her best friend who was her chief bridesmaid during their wedding.

“Can you imagine that after the mistreating, pain and everything, the said husband ends up marrying your own best friend.

“So, what does that mean ? It’s because I’m not just the type that will come to say my own side of the story. I’m not used to it because in my own culture they don’t train us like that”, she said.
