Singer Oliver Tree’s Body Returned to California After Brazil Helicopter Crash
June 22 () — The body of American singer-songwriter Oliver Tree has been returned to California following his death in a helicopter collision in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
Tree, 32, died on June 14, 2026, when two helicopters collided in mid-air. All six people aboard the aircraft were killed.
His team said in a statement posted to his social media accounts on Sunday, June 21: “Oliver is now back in California where he can finally rest.”
The statement also added that plans are underway to honor his wish to support emerging artists through a foundation.
The crash is still under investigation, with reports indicating the helicopters collided before crashing into a commercial area and causing a fire that damaged several vehicles on the ground.

Tree had been in South America performing as part of his “World’s First World Tour.”
Tributes have continued to pour in from fans and fellow artists following news of his death.
