“I Have Kpaied The Obidient Wave, It Is Dead And Bur!3d” – Wike Boasts, Dismisses Peter Obi’s 2027 Chances

FCT Minister Nyesom Wike has claimed that the political wave behind Peter Obi’s 2023 presidential campaign is no longer active, declaring that he has brought it to an end.

He also questioned Rabiu Kwankwaso’s ability to attract support beyond Kano and the North-West ahead of the 2027 elections.

Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has declared that the political movement that supported Peter Obi during the 2023 presidential election is dead, claiming that he has killed the Obidient wave.

Wike made the remarks on Thursday, November 5, 2026, during his monthly media chat, where he dismissed Obi’s chances ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The minister questioned the former Anambra State governor’s political influence and insisted that the enthusiasm surrounding his 2023 campaign no longer existed.

He said, “I have killed the Obidient wave. No more Obi Kererenke. It does not exist anymore. It is dead and burried. Obi has nothing to offer, even Kwankwaso, I know he’s popular, but he can’t do anything outside Kano and NW.”

Wike also acknowledged the popularity of former Kano State Governor Rabiu Kwankwaso but questioned whether his political support could extend beyond Kano and the North-West.

His comments have attracted reactions online, with some Nigerians challenging his assessment of Obi’s political support, while others mocked his repeated criticism of the opposition figure.
