*Nwachukwu, Orji, Atuma Receive Endorsement During Political Stakeholders’ Engagement in Umuafai Community.*
Political momentum appears to be building in Umuafai community as Sir Innocent Chimezie Nwachukwu, APC House of Assembly candidate for Umuahia East Constituency; Rt. Hon. Chinedum Enyinnaya Orji, APC House of Representatives candidate for Ikwuano/Umuahia Constituency; and Rt. Hon. Emeka Atuma, APC senatorial candidate for Abia Central, received a strong endorsement during a political engagement with APC stakeholders in the area.
The visit, which brought together party leaders, community representatives, and supporters, was seen as part of ongoing efforts to consolidate grassroots support ahead of the next political season.
During the engagement, the chief host, Ambassador Kachi Nwoko, popularly called P-Square, and a good number of APC stakeholders expressed confidence in the trio, describing them as experienced, capable, and well-positioned to represent the interests of the people. They commended their commitment to inclusive leadership, community development, and accessible governance, noting that such qualities are needed at a time when many residents are seeking responsive political representation.
The endorsement is expected to strengthen the standing of the candidates within the community and may also influence broader support across neighboring areas. Observers say visits like this are important in local Politics because they provide an opportunity for candidates to connect directly with key opinion leaders, explain their vision, and listen to the concerns of residents. Community members at the gathering were said to have raised issues around infrastructure, youth empowerment, education, and improved local services, urging the endorsed candidates to prioritize development if elected.
In their separate responses, Rt. Hon. Chinedum Orji and Sir Innocent Chimezie Nwachukwu thanked the stakeholders for the confidence reposed in them and promised to remain committed to the welfare of the people.
They also emphasized the importance of unity, dialogue, and collective effort in building a stronger political movement that reflects the aspirations of the community. Their message, centered on inclusive leadership, assured that Umuafai Community would not be left out in the scheme of things when the dividends of democracy are being distributed.
The visit and endorsement signal an important early boost for the trio as they continue to engage voters and political influencers across the region.
