In a video responding to the development, Adunni questioned why an interview that is about six years old was suddenly trending in 2026.
“It has been brought to my attention that I’m trending on Twitter, why the hel is a 6 years old interview trending in 2026? Why didn’t you guys watch it back then? I talk, problem, I don’t talk, problem. Why the hat£? What have I done to you people? When I was fasting during Ramadan in 2020, you people said I was chasing clout untop religion. Then I later went to church, and so ?”
In April 2020, Adunni had publicly explained that she was born and raised Muslim before becoming a Christian and later returning to Islam in December 2016. She also spoke about her experiences with criticism over her religious journey during that period.
Her latest response has generated further reactions on social media, with some users defending the actress and others questioning her decision to address the online discussion.
