Businessman and father of Afrobeats star Davido, Dr. Deji Adeleke, has attributed the Adeleke family’s victory over former Osun State governor Gboyega Oyetola to his strong belief in God.

Speaking about the election, Deji Adeleke said the family’s victory was not driven by financial power, insisting that they did not spend money on election day.

He said: “Record me and play it to him, let him hear. The reason why we defeated Oyetola was not because we have more money, we didn’t even spend any money on election day. It was because my belief in God Almighty is very strong.”
