‘I had complicated major surgery’ – Ayra Starr breaks silence over disappearance online

Nigerian Afrobeat songstress Ayra Starr has revealed that she is currently recovering from a complicated major surgery.

She made the disclosure on Thursday evening while addressing her fans over her disappearance from social media.

MEDIA TODAY reports that Ayra Starr was last seen online one week ago before returning to social media on Wednesday.

However, explaining why she had been away, the singer, in a post on her Instagram Story on Thursday, revealed that she underwent a complicated major surgery.

While apologising for her sudden disappearance, she said she needed more rest and promised to be back soon.

“Hey Mobstarrs, I’m sorry you’re not seeing as much of me as I would like. I had major surgery a few days ago. I was hoping it would be a quick recovery but it was more complicated than they expected.

“I just need a bit of rest and I’ll be back. Starrgirl is coming so soooon,” she stated.
