2027: Rainbow Coalition won’t win votes in Kwara — Accord Party
The Kwara State chapter of the Accord Party has declared that the Rainbow Coalition spearheaded by the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Minister, Nyesom Wike, will not get any votes in Kwara in 2027.
The party’s position was contained in a statement released on Sunday by its State Publicity Secretary, Olamilekan Esinrogunjo.
Esinrogunjo said the coalition does not have grassroots backing and lacks a clear message that can convince voters.

He said the alliance appears to be driven by the interests of a few political elites and personal rivalries rather than a shared plan for governance.

The Accord Party further questioned the coalition’s position on the 2027 presidential and governorship elections, noting that its reported move to oppose the government in Kwara while supporting President Bola Tinubu at the federal level could affect its credibility among the electorate.
“You cannot claim to be opposition in Kwara and, at the same time, ask the same people to support the APC at the presidential level.
Every second brings Nigerians closer to exercising their democratic right and shaping the future of our nation.
Exercise your democratic right responsibly, peacefully and lawfully.
That contradiction is one of the fundamental problems of the Rainbow Coalition.”
