Mavo Launches Independent Record Label ‘Kilogbede Records’

July 07, () — Nigerian rising Afrobeats singer Mavo has officially launched his independent record label, “Kilogbede Records”, marking a new chapter in his career as a music executive.

The singer announced the label on July 6, introducing himself as its founder and CEO. Alongside the announcement, he unveiled the label’s creative team and its first roster of rising artists, including Kadi, Kobilou and Sssoundgawd.

Kilogbede Records aims to support emerging talent through artist development, music production and long-term career growth while promoting African music to a wider audience.

The label has already secured its first distribution deal for one of its artists, Kadi, for the debut single “f3ll in luv,” marking an early milestone for the company.

Mavo said the label is focused on building a collaborative platform where young artists and creatives can develop their careers and create quality music.

The launch follows a breakthrough period for the singer, who gained attention with songs including “Escaladizzy” and “Shakabulizzy”.

He was also named Billboard African Rookie of the Month for November 2025.

With “Kilogbede Records”, Mavo joins a growing number of African artists launching independent labels to develop new talent and expand their influence beyond performing.
