Afrobeats Star Davido Announces Sixth Album ORIADÉ For July 31 Release
June 30 () — Afrobeats star, Davido, has announced that his sixth studio album “ORIADÉ” will be released on July 31, 2026. The release marks 15 years since he began his music career.
He officially announced the release date in a post on his official X account on Monday, June 29.
The album title “ORIADÉ” comes from Yoruba words “ori” (head/destiny) and “adé” (crown), meaning “crowned head”. Davido said the project reflects his journey, growth, and gratitude over the past 15 years in music.
The announcement was accompanied by a cinematic trailer captioned, “The kingdom expands. Chosen long before the throne.”
He described the project as a celebration of purpose and said it reflects how music has shaped his life and career.

Davido also released the lead single, “I Know Who I Be,” on Friday, June 26, ahead of the album.
The project follows his 2025 album “5ive”, which featured collaborations with artists including Chris Brown, Victoria Monét, Shenseea, and Becky G.
In recent years, Davido has grown his international profile, including a Coachella debut in April 2026 and a performance at a FIFA World Cup 2026 event in Los Angeles.
“ORIADÉ” is expected to continue his focus on African sounds and his signature Afrobeats style.
