GOV. OTTI CHARGES NEWLY INAUGURATED Labour Party GOVERNORSHIP CAMPAIGN COUNCIL TO DRIVE GRASSROOTS MOBILIZATION.
The Executive Governor of Abia State, His Excellency, Dr. Alex C. Otti, OFR, on Wednesday, October 14, 2026, chaired the first formal meeting of the newly inaugurated Labour Party Governorship Campaign Council in his office.
The meeting, which had in attendance the Director General of the Campaign Council, Heads of Directorates and the 24 State Constituency Coordinators, focused on strategies for effective grassroots campaign and inclusive engagement.
Addressing the Council, Governor Otti charged members to take the campaign to the grassroots, carry everyone along, and work assiduously to ensure victory for all candidates of the Labour Party in the forthcoming elections.
According to the Governor, the task before the Council is to consolidate on the achievements of the administration and communicate the Government’s scorecard effectively to Ndi Abia at all levels.
Members of the Council, led by the DG, assured the Governor of their commitment to deliver on the mandate, pledging to work in unity and drive a robust, issue-based campaign across the 24 State constituencies.
The meeting ended with a renewed charge to commence immediate mobilization across wards and polling units.
