The National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) wishes to inform healthcare professionals, distributors, wholesalers, retailers, Patent and Proprietary Medicine Vendors (PPMVs), healthcare institutions, and the general public that products marketed by Mofus Nigeria Ltd have been placed on the NAFDAC Watchlist pending the outcome of an ongoing regulatory investigation.

The decision to watch-list products associated with Mofus Nigeria Ltd, Ayrtons Saunders Ltd, UK, and Pharmaserve (North West) Ltd follows findings of significant regulatory non-compliance and potential misrepresentation, necessitating a comprehensive investigation. The case is registered under reference number NAFDAC/PMS/2026/0029 and is currently under active investigation by the Agency.

As part of the regulatory response, NAFDAC has commenced a formal investigation, activated continuous surveillance activities, issued stakeholder notifications, and encouraged the reporting of any quality concerns or irregularities associated with the affected products; see attached list.

  • Purchase medical products only from licensed and authorized suppliers.
  • Maintain complete distribution records to facilitate traceability where necessary.
  • Immediately report any suspected quality defects, adverse events, product authentication concerns, or regulatory irregularities to the nearest NAFDAC office.

Healthcare professionals and consumers are advised to report any suspicion of the sale of substandard and falsified medicines or medical devices to the nearest NAFDAC office, call NAFDAC on 0800-162-3322, or via email: sf.alert@nafdac.gov.ng, or via the Med Safety application available for download on Android and IOS stores.

Similarly, healthcare professionals and patients are also encouraged to report adverse events or side effects related to the use of medicinal products or devices to the nearest NAFDAC office, or through the use of the E-reporting platforms available on the NAFDAC website www.nafdac.gov.ng, or via the Med- safety application available for download on Android and IOS stores, or via e-mail on pharmacovigilance@nafdac.gov.ng
