In commemoration of his birthday, the Abia State Commissioner for Transport, Dr Chimezie Isaac Ukaegbu has organized a medical outreach to meet the health needs of his Amuzukwu community.

Speaking at the event held at at Mbaraukwu Hall, Amuzukwu Ibeku in Umuahia North LGA, Deputy Governor Engr. Ikechukwu Emetu applauded his passion and commitment to human capital development and Community upliftment.

Emetu described Dr. Ukaegbu as a philanthropist per excellence whose love to better the lives of people knows no bounds and called on all to imbibe the culture of giving in order to promote the wellbeing of people and create a better life for all.

He further praised his wife, Pastor Roseline Ukaegbu for being a very supportive pillar to her husband pointing out that her support, was a enough inspiration to continue his philanthropic gestures.

Nwaobilor Ananaba, and Chief Smart Iheoma Mayor Umuahia North, thanked Dr Chimezie Ukaegbu for using his birthday to take care of the health needs of his people.

While describing him as a good man, they urged him in not to relent in his act of kindness, stressing that the blessing of God on a person should be extended to bless others.

On their, the Rotary Club of Umuahia, through the Secretary
Ijeoma Okwy-Irokanulo described Dr Chimezie Ukaegbu as a strong pillar of support to the Rotary Club, noting his remarkable dedication to service is commendable.

“As a member of the family, you embody the spirit of Rotary which is ‘Service Above Self.’ Your tireless effort to drive positive change inspire us all to stand for excellence.”

Responding, the celebrant, Dr. Chimezie Isaac Ukaegu appreciated God’s grace and benevolence towards him and his household and thanked all that came to celebrate with him

He noted that the free medical outreach was his own way of putting smiles on the faces of his people which he described as paramount inspiration.

He pointed out that a healthy society begets a prosperous community, and enjoined others to embrace the act of giving.

Dr. Ukaegbu also appreciated the Deputy Governor for finding time to come and celebrate with him and promised to continue to contribute his quota towards supporting the administration of Dr. Alex Chioma Otti.

The event was used to unveil “The Rosy”s Place Apartments”, a cosy lodging facility built by Dr. Ukaegbu at Amuzukwu Ibeku, Umuahia by the Deputy Governor Engr Ikechukwu Emetu.
