Former Big Brother Naija housemate, Tochi, has advised ex-housemates who are struggling to establish themselves after leaving the reality TV show to focus less on celebrity status and put more effort into building their careers.

The reality star made the remarks while addressing the challenges some former BBNaija contestants face after enjoying fame and attention during and immediately after their time on the show.

According to Tochi, appearing on the reality show does not automatically guarantee long-term success, noting that contestants need to understand that fame comes with an expiry date if it is not backed by hard work and consistency.

He urged former housemates who may be finding it difficult to maintain their relevance to stop dwelling on their celebrity status and concentrate on developing themselves and pursuing opportunities.

In his words, “Pack celebrity nonsense and hustle. Not everyone is destined to make it from the show.”

Tochi’s advice highlights the reality that while BBNaija has helped several former contestants launch successful careers in entertainment, business, fashion and other industries, not every participant achieves the same level of post-show success.
